This piece is part of the central 'Bloom' series, a series of living artworks where cultured microalgae are integrated directly into a bespoke bio-polymer substrate. Over time, the color and texture of the canvas evolve as the biological organisms interact with the environment, creating a visual metaphor for ecological flux and growth.
The green textures seen in the original cover photo are derived directly from macroscopic imaging of these living canvases, translating biological process into abstract, structural form. The diagonal division in the final composition reflects the tension between digital precision and organic uncertainty.
